Around the World
Early Childhood Development by UNICEF
This organization provides the resources need for sustaining
early childhood development in other countries around the word. UNICEF
understands that children are the foundation of sustainable development. They
understand that the early years of development are not only crucial for
individual health but also for cognitive and social-emotional development. UNICEF
works with governments, civil society, communities and other stakeholders to design
and implement inter-sectorial evidence-based ECD programs and policies that
help young children reach their full potential by supporting families and
communities, and by increasing access to quality early childhood care and
education. I selected this organization for their diligence in global outreach
on the behalf of children.

Save the Children
This is an organization that protects children from abuse, neglect,
exploitation both here in the United States and around the world. Some examples
of child protection program activities include creating Child Friendly Spaces
in emergencies, reunifying separated and unaccompanied children with their
families in emergencies, developing public awareness campaigns against child
trafficking, piloting training programs for social workers to provide
supportive care to families and children and advocating for more effective
national protection policies and child welfare reform. An important part of all
of Save the Children’s child protection work, however, is the participation and
leadership of the children themselves. I selected this organization due its
inclusion of the children participating in the advocacy aspect of the
